I've been keeping my old cards for years. Not just Christmas cards...every one of them, for every occasion. I've cut the pic into strips, and if there was writing on the backs, I've glued a strip of construction paper or card stock. I laminate them and make bookmarks out of them. If I've intended the bookmark for someone in particular, I write a personal message on the back of the strip before I laminate it. Punch a hole in the top, tie a piece of ribbon, and Voila!!

I've been doing this for years. I pack my cards with my Christmas decorations each year. Then when I unpack them, I read them again, thinking of the friends and family who sent them, and then I cut them up to make my tags. You can sometimes get more than one tag from each card.

This is a really neat idea! I was just today looking at my cards hanging up thinking what can I do with them. I have a few that are sooo pretty, I don't want to throw them away. I'm going to do this with them!
