[...] I had previously posted that I have started sewing cloth diapers for my daughter, and since then I’ve fallen in love with them!
Hey, great job on the diaper! I used a similar pattern for my son's cloth diapers, and I tell you that the AIOs are the easiest way to go when using cloth. Just an FYI, you might want to get yourself a Minishower (www.minishower.com) for when your daughter gets a little older - it makes diapering a touch easier, imo. Also, if you feel like branching out and trying different diaper patterns, I liked the Very Baby patterns (from www.diapershop.com) - they have decent prices on the diapering material as well. Sewzannes (www.sewzannesfabrics.com) is also good for fabric finds. Kudos!

Jen and Kristie - thanks for the comments :)

Holli - I'm glad you are liking our site!

I ordered the diapers from diaperkit.com, they provide everything you need for a diaper (fabric, elastic, touch tape, size tags), all precleaned and pressed and cut out, so all you have to do is sew them together. They are very reasonably priced, and its a great place to start. I did order a pattern for diapers off of ebay that I'm going to try and I can let you know how that works out if you would like!

The diapers I am making are All-In-One's - the colored part is a breathable waterproof layer that will allow the bum to breathe without letting moisture out. There are also kits available for fitted diapers (require a cover) and even covers. Thanks for the compliment on the diaper - its the first I've ever sewn. If you are interested in trying them out, then I would definitely try a diaperkit.com kit. They come with complete instructions, and that way you can try a diaper or two to see if you like sewing them without spending a lot of money on fabric that you end up not using if you don't like them :)

I hope that answers your questions!

Hi, Heather. First, I want to say that I love this site -- so many fun projects and good tutorials here. You have all done a great job. I'm glad I found it.

Secondly, I was wondering where you got your diaper pattern and if you'd share a little more about how those diapers work -- like do you need an outer covering, or is that diaper going to keep moisture in? Just curious. I think you did a great job with it and it's something I might want to try in the future.

Thirdly, I'm so jealous you have your own space like that! I'm a crocheter myself, so I'm impressed with your yarn stash!

Anyway, I guess that's long enough for one post.
