Hello Crafty Daisies,
I want to thank you for your wonderful comments regarding our new Pink Denise. We began this project at the end of October last year. With the help of LOTS of knitters, and of folks like you getting the word out, as of today, October 25, 2007, the donations stand at $59,096. Since we have yet a few days of October left, I'm really hopeful that number will go over $60,000 by the end of the month. I'm about to attend the annual Breast Cancer Conference, along with Cat Bordhi who will be a featured speaker at the conference. The idea for the Pink Denise arose in one of her workshops and she has been a champion of it since, now donating the proceeds from two moebius workshops and copies of her books while she's there in Burlington, VT. (Nov. 3 - 5) Details are on her website CatBordhi.com, and a link is on our website if any of your readers would like to attend. Her talk is free and open to the public.
Again, thank you soooo much for your support for this project. Linda Krag
