Simone
Simone is a survivor of Germany’s knitting craze of the early eighties. During those years, her mother worked at a yarn store and brought home skeins and skeins of the most beautiful yarn. After a crafting hiatus during the nineties and with the birth of her daughter, Simone returned to her true calling. Her current obsession is with recycled materials. This preoccupation is mostly born out of her inability to throw anything away. Some examples of her compulsive thriftiness can be seen here.
Recently, Simone took up beading and discovered sparkly Swarovski crystals. She also likes to sew, embroider, and fiddle with Photoshop to design concert posters for her women’s choir, the Bella Voce Singers. Check out her current projects on her Flickr site.
