Stencil Night
April 2nd, 2007 by Joy
I can’t believe it is almost time for the Cuirim Craft Fair. I am excited about it, altho i’ll be glad when it’s done. I have learned a lot about what to do and not to do when putting a Craft Fair together. I’m sure next time i’ll do things a little differently. It has been fun coming up with the little things.
We have been meeting every Thursday night to make more stuff for the Craft Fair. We recently did a stencil night. (big surprise I know!) I was so excited to teach the girls how to make the freezer paper stencils. We had some onsies and bibs to stencil. We practiced on some plain fabric first.
I think they are just as addicted as I am. I can’t wait to do it again with them. Thanks guys for a great time. You have been such a help with the craft fair stuff! muuuah!

Ooooooh! Craft fairs are so much fun! And so much fun to prepare for. I hope you enjoy it and sell lots. ) I have yet to jump on the freezer paper stenciling bandwagon. I’m a bit scared to because then I might love it too much and never find the time to do it all.

that sounds so wonderful, and for such a great cause where did you find the plain onesies?

Ya know Joy, as much as I’ve seen and heard you talk about it, I haven’t done it yet. But I’m thinking it’s something I want to do, maybe even this week…we shall see…

try it! try it! try it! (chanting) you’ll LOOOVE IT. I think what I love about them most is that they are EASY & FAST!! in 30min or less you can have this great creation.
Krista, I get white onsies at Walmart and dye them with Rit dye. I love making up my own. Super fun.

So cute!! Can you reuse each stencil again, or is it a one use only kind of thing?

knittymama,
Unfortunatly you can only use these once. Which is cool cause it is one of a kind but, stinks if you want to do it again. You have to cut out a new one.. hope you try it sometime.
